Who we are

Recepture is offered by DV Development & Consultancy, KvK 74819321. In these terms, “we” means DV Development & Consultancy and “you” means the person using Recepture.

You can reach us at dennis@dvdc.dev. All our details are on the contact page.

Your account

  • You need to be 16 or older to create an account.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • In a family group, the people you invite see what you share with the family.
  • Keep your details accurate. If you sign in with Apple or Google, your name and email address come from that account.

Plans and prices

  • Free: Recepture is free to use, with monthly limits on the AI features. You can see your limits, and how much of them you’ve used, in Settings.
  • Free trial: a new account can try Premium for 14 days without entering payment details. When the trial ends you go back to Free, unless you subscribe.
  • Premium: a monthly subscription, at the price shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Prices include VAT.
  • On the web you pay through Mollie, at the start of each period. Your first period starts, and is charged, on the day you subscribe.
  • In the iPhone app, once it is available: if you subscribe there, you buy Premium through Apple, at the price the App Store shows you, and Apple handles the payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds under its own terms.
  • If you subscribe during your free trial, your paid period starts that day; the remaining trial days are not added on top.

Premium’s AI features have no monthly limit, but fair use applies.

Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer you may withdraw from a Premium subscription within 14 days of taking it out, without giving a reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day you subscribed.

When you subscribe on the web, you ask us at checkout to start Premium right away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay an amount in proportion to the part of the service we provided before you told us you were withdrawing: in practice, only the days you had Premium. We refund the rest of what you paid within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method, at no cost to you.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement, for example by email to dennis@dvdc.dev. You may use the model form below, but you don’t have to. It is enough to send your statement before the 14 days are over.

Model withdrawal form

(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

To: DV Development & Consultancy, dennis@dvdc.dev

I/We (*) hereby give notice that I/We (*) withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the provision of the following service: Recepture Premium.

  • Ordered on (*)/received on (*)
  • Name of consumer(s)
  • Address of consumer(s)
  • Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper)
  • Date

(*) Delete as appropriate.

Subscribed in the iPhone app? Then you withdraw through Apple, which handles withdrawal and refunds for App Store purchases under its own terms. You can ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Cancelling is different from withdrawing: you can cancel at any time (see renewal and cancelling) and then keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.

Renewal and cancelling

Premium renews automatically every month until you cancel.

If you subscribed on the web, you can cancel at any time in Settings, in a few clicks. You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing more is charged.

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple manages the subscription: cancel it in your App Store account settings (on your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions), at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Recepture can show that subscription, but can’t cancel it for you.

We never change the price of a running subscription without telling you in advance and giving you the chance to cancel first.

Fair use

Premium includes the AI features without a monthly limit. To keep Recepture fast and affordable for everyone, a daily fair-use limit applies. It sits well above normal personal use; if you do reach it, you can carry on the next day.

Recepture is for personal and household use. Automated use, reselling access, or sharing one account between many people is not fair use, and we may limit or suspend accounts that do this.

Your content

Recipes, notes, photos and other content you add remain yours.

You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to store, sync, process and display your content so that Recepture can work for you. That includes sending it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature. When you make content public, share it with your family group or create a share link, the licence also lets us show it to the people who can see it there. The licence ends when you delete the content; copies that other people saved from your public recipes stay in their own libraries.

Only add content you are allowed to use. If you import a recipe or a photo from someone else’s website or book, it is for your own use: don’t make it public or share it without permission from whoever owns it.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Recepture to:

  • publish or share content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or is hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
  • send spam or mislead people;
  • get around security, limits or payments, or access accounts or data that aren’t yours;
  • overload, scrape or copy the service in bulk.

If content or behaviour breaks these terms or the law, we may remove the content, restrict features or suspend the account. We tell you what we did and why, and you can object by replying to that message, unless the law prevents us from telling you.

Reporting content

You can report a public recipe, cookbook or shared page from the page itself: choose Report recipe or Report cookbook under More actions, or Report this page at the bottom of a shared page. Reports go to our team, not to the cook, and we review every report.

If you believe something on Recepture is illegal, such as a recipe or photo that infringes your copyright, you can also write to dennis@dvdc.dev. Please include:

  • the link to the content;
  • why you believe it is illegal;
  • your name and email address;
  • a statement that you believe, in good faith, that your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm that we received your report, review it carefully and without undue delay, and tell you what we decided. If we remove or restrict content, we tell the person who posted it why, and how they can object.

This address is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act. You can write to us in English or Dutch.

AI output

Chef Pip and the other AI features can make mistakes. Always check ingredients, allergens, whether a dish suits your diet, quantities, cooking times and food safety yourself. AI output is not medical or nutritional advice.

You decide what you cook, save and share. Recipes you create with AI help are yours, like any other content.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Recepture available and your data safe, but we can’t promise the service will always be available or free of errors. Sometimes we need maintenance, and features can change. You can ask for a copy of your data at any time at dennis@dvdc.dev.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account. An active web subscription is then cancelled. A subscription you bought in the iPhone app keeps running: Apple keeps charging for it until you cancel it in your App Store account settings, so cancel it there first.

We may suspend or end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Unless that would be unlawful or unsafe, we tell you first and explain why.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. The version and date at the top of this page show which terms apply. We announce important changes in advance, in the app or by email. If you don’t agree with a change, you can cancel or delete your account before it applies.

Law and disputes

Dutch law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of that country’s law.

If you have a complaint, contact us first and we’ll try to solve it together. If we can’t, you can take the dispute to the competent court in the Netherlands or in the country where you live.
